Ashraf Alam
Oxford University, UK
“My name is Ashraf and I’m an undergraduate studying mathematics at St Catherine’s College, University of Oxford. I am of Bangladeshi descent and grew up in Southampton, UK. I am passionate about mathematics and coding, and I enjoy rock climbing in my free time. I am super excited to explore the unique mountainous geography of Nepal, as well as learn about Nepali culture, including its connection to Hinduism and Buddhism.
Visiting my roots in Bangladesh, I witnessed first-hand the challenges people face in developing nations, including a lack of quality education. As a result, I have garnered an interest in global socio-economic disparities. With this internship opportunity with RH, I hope to enhance the learning experiences of students in Nepal, giving them hope for a brighter future.”
