Enhance your summer by participating in Reinstalling Hope’s internship program in Nepal! This 10-week initiative offers college students a unique and enriching experience while allowing for teaching opportunities in addition to an immersive cultural journey in the heart of South Asia.
Program Details:
Before the internship begins, interns will have the opportunity to talk with our team to plan the logistics and timeline of their internship. Since our internship carries the theme of “travel, teach, and learn”, every one’s plan will be slightly different depending on what area they are interested to explore alongside teaching in our partner schools. For instance, if your interest lies in exploring the art and crafts, we will plan the program accordingly. If your interest lies in exploring Buddhism in Nepal, we will plan the program accordingly.
The overall structure of the program is basically the same for all the interns, however, the planning will be person specific to make it more effective and immersive.
Our partner schools are located across the country which allows the flexibility for the intern to plan their internship. Besides, our team will be in communication throughout the program and will assist whenever it is required.
The teaching programs that the interns will be leading are intended for students, aged 10-15, in middle and early high school. Interns will have the opportunity to lead classes in English, Maths, Science, and computer science, depending on what their expertise is. Besides, it will be an opportunity to share your perspective and knowledge to students and meanwhile learn about the education system in Nepal. The specifics of the teaching programs will be decided when the interns plan their logistics with our team.
Overall, the goal of the program is to give our intern an immersive experience of Nepal, the education system, and facilitate an environment for them to teach and share their ideas, skills, and knowledge.
